services
I, Cheyenne, will personally complete all agreed upon services. My work is never outsourced, unless we discuss that first and would only be for projects that require digitizing and mass printing.
Style
In a digital age, please keep in mind that my work is created by hand. The beauty of handwritten calligraphy is the natural variations and styles created by the artist. My work will never be perfect every single time, but these slight variations result in a beautiful and unique piece of art. Upon contracting my services, you should have spent time reviewing my work to know that you like and trust my artistic style. I will create your project to the same quality as the samples you see in the gallery. Digitized work will include one proof revision. Other revisions may be possible for an additional fee.
Licensing and copyright
As the artist, I remain the sole owner of all artistic rights. I do not grant legal right to reproduce, copy or alter my work without a separate licensing agreement. My content is protected by copyright laws. It should not be used for commercial purposes by others. Should you suspect copyright infringement, please contact me at cheyenne@simplyletteredstudio.com
photography
You are encouraged and welcomed to share images of my work and the pieces you have purchased on social media. Please credit me, Cheyenne Tucker, on any posts and tag my business page @simplyletteredstudio. I always appreciate when you share professional photography from your event with me that includes my work. I will do my part to be sure that photos are not posted that contain personal contact information. For example, full envelope addresses.
payment schedules
Orders of $500 or less and digital orders should be paid in full to secure calendar time. Orders over this amount require a 50% non-refundable deposit with the balance due before shipping. If the quantity changes after the deposit is received, the rate is not adjusted. If the necessary materials, such as an address list, are not provided by an agreed upon date the client may be removed from my calendar and the deposit forfeited.
rush orders
Rush orders may be accepted if I have time on my calendar. Within 5 business days may require up to 75% and within two weeks may require up to 50% rush fee.
envelope addressing
Error is inevitable in hand-produced work. For projects such as escort cards and envelopes, please include 15% additional blanks. The more extras I have, the faster I can work and complete your order. Please provide your addresses digitally in a mail formatted word document or Excel spreadsheet. Excessive addresses outside of the United States may require an upcharge. I always recommend that calligraphed mail be hand cancelled at your post office. Check with your post master for policies and rates.
submissions and corrections
For all text submissions, please thoroughly review the text. It will be written exactly as it is submitted. If I notice any concerns, I will contact you. No changes will be made after work has begun. Please review your order upon receipt. If any corrections should be needed, alert me within 72 hours of delivery. If the error was on my end, I will correct it at no charge.
returns
Due to the personalized nature of custom calligraphy, returns are not accepted on custom commissions. Do contact me should you have any problems with your order.
shipping
Once your order has been shipped, it is in the hands of the shipping carrier. I will do the best I can on my end to help should any problems arise. While I typically never have damaged items, should you receive your order damaged, please take a photo of the packaging AND the damaged item. I will submit them to the postal carrier for an insurance claim and discuss with you further the best plan of action for replacing or refunding your piece.
