Bonus Tip from Purva:

Use saral transfer paper to trace designs to the chalkboard

I personally prefer drafting my design on a scrap paper and then transfering it onto

the chalkboard. The cleanest way to trace is using a saral transfer paper.

• Clean the chalkboard.

• Place Saral paper (colored side down) on the chalkboard.

• Position and secure your design on top of the Saral paper.

• Trace the design with a pencil or stylus.

• Remove the design and Saral paper.

• Check the transferred design on the chalkboard.

• Retrace the design with chalk or chalk markers.

• Clean the chalkboard.

Michi is a calligrapher and engraver, an architect, a wine lover, a wife, and a mom of three. She's also a proud dog mom and hails from Honduras. Michi is truly passionate about art, and her creativity knows no bounds. After completing her education in architecture and earning an MBA, Michi embraced the joys and challenges of working from home while raising her three children. During this time, she discovered the enchanting art forms of calligraphy and engraving, igniting a lifelong passion within her. Currently, Michi works as a luxury event artist, specializing in calligraphy, engraving and embroidery for events and on-site brand activations. Her work takes her on exciting travels throughout Germany. In 2022, Michi stumbled upon the art of embroidery, finding it to be a cherished outlet for relaxation and meditation.
